Follow the Line of Dance – typically counter-clockwise around the dance floor.

Right of Way – Couples entering or exiting a dance in progress should give right of way
to couples already dancing.

Courtesy Always – The lead should try to avoid collisions, and their partners should
quickly alert their lead of possible bumps with other couples. Always apologize for the
bump – courtesy goes a long way.

Have Fun – Try new dance steps and never be afraid of making a mistake – laugh and try
it again – that’s how we learn to enjoy dancing.
